The Exhibition
This is a rare opportunity to view the seldom exhibited paintings and pictures bequeathed by Cecil French to Fulham Council in 1953. The works of art that make up this extraordinary collection are by the Pre-Raphaelite Sir Edward Burne-Jones and artists Lord Leighton, George Frederic Watts and Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema amongst other notable late 19th and early 20th century British artists. Up to fifty-one pictures by eleven artists will be exhibited.
The Charity
The exhibition is being organised by the Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, Cllr Minnie Scott Russell, with proceeds in favour of The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust. This charity aims to increase public awareness of the nature, symptoms and dangers of depression. More information about the Trust can be found at www.cwmt.org
